ftp problem

I am trying to upload files but when I try to transfer the file to the server it doesn't accept the file.

username and password are ok as I am able to open the site in the ftp client but it doesn't accept the file upload.

Any ideas?

What ftp program are you using and what folder are you trying to upload into??

Check the permissions of the folder you are trying to get into...and what is the error you are getting??

the folder is the htdocs folder and it is chmod 755

I am using SmartFTP (http://smartftp.com) and have used it on my other sites.

The error message is below

553 Can't open that file: Permission denied

Try to CHMOD the upload folder anyway to 755.

Is this a new site or domain name? If it isn't, you may beed to email support@powweb.com to reset the permissions for you.
