View Full Version : Real Player
I know this is asking for a long shot but i am gonna try..
Does anyone know of a program that can take pictures of any Real Player video? i KNOW there are some out there, i just can't seem to find any. Thanks!!!
If by pictures you mean stills, try pressing Ctrl+PrintScrn to capture the screen then pasting into a graphics program to crop and save.
And the rm video files may be resting in the Temporary Internet Files folder after playing the video.
print screen wont work coz the screen is generated directly from the graphics card rather then the windows cache.
Dont know of any off hand, but a long winded way that ive done it is write it to a rewritable dvd using a prog like sonic-mydvd which allows rm files, then use powerdvd to capture screen !
(power dvd copies the graphics card frame outpput to a temp file or clipboard, depending on what u set it to)

Open RealPlayer, go to the View menu and select> Preferences...>. Then click on the Performance tab>. Under the heading Video card compatibility> uncheck the box next to "Use optimized video display".
Then try Ctrl+PrtScn - failing that.. Snagit, Camtasia and other programs will do it. Or convert rm to mpg and use Ctrl+I in Windows Media Player.
Capture Professional is a great little program. It captures many media types including real one. And it's Shareware.

If you do video editing and happen to have Premiere, I know you can save a still from video in there too. In general though with the print screen button way, you don't need anything fancy... I've even been known to use paintbrushto save the screen captures.
