when i read your posts i imagine you tanked up on plastic bottle gin in your trailer home, stroking your 28k modem, one hand on the mouse and one on the precious bottle of pills you ordered online from a mexican pharmacia. a black and white tv with tinfoil on the rabbit ears is playing wheel of fortune in the background and a plate of cold fish sticks is on the table.
i might be wrong about one or two of those details (like maybe you prefer frozen 7-11 burritos to fish sticks), but i know the rest is spot-on. it's written all over your smilies.

and this is how i relieve stress.

Well I waited a day to reply to see if the moderator here had the balls to deal with groundless attacks by his fellow left-wingers. Obviously he is going to allow anything (at least by left-wingers). Now that the moderator has replied to other threads and ignored this one, it is clear that this area has become a moderator free zone. However I suspect this zone is only allowed to be moderator free if your a "sexually frustrated left-wing *****" or other "left-wing degenerate" as galexia obviously is. Galexia obviously has not been successfully serviced buy a man in a very long time, otherwise she would not be inventing so many lies and creating personnel attracts. Its too bad the moderator here is so ballless as to be afraid to deal with a ***** like galexia. ;) ;) ;)
LOL I had no stress to relive, but I still feel better now. ;)

As far as this specific instance goes, it's a pretty mild flame really. It's obviously meant to be more humorous than cutting and I know that you are more than capable of standing up to such attacks (as you have done).
As with most things, I try to moderate in moderation, so I accept a certain degree of flaming. If things escalated into an all out war, or if either of you aimed below the belt, then I would certainly step in.
Speaking of admonitions, when quoting long posts it is considered polite to snip :)

Perhaps you did not know that private messages were exchange regarding posts that were culled prior to the thread being closed. Hey don't worry about it, I sure won't in the future, please go right on proving my point about the double standards of the left. :)

My opinion... we all have a left and right. Now, my left and right work together... one to steady the barrel and the other to pull the trigger. Oh wait, the preferred way is helium... okay, still they can work together. One to hold the mask to ensure proper fit while the other cracks open the valve.

I post on a host of different forums, and what alot of folks don't seem to consider is: If you are unhappy with the editor of a board or their rules, you can always start and host your own discussion forum. Free expression is not always the norm when you have the potential to offend consumers and advertisers/potential advertisers. One Collision Repair Industry fourm I post on had to pull alot of posts because one of their advertisers that was in bed with a few insuance companies became offended, but their advertising dollars played a role in the boards existance.....
If you want total control of the board, buy your own board.
Just my thoughts.

Flaming is simply inappropriate in a thread where people were discussing their shock at the sudden and tragic loss of 30,000 or more lives.

I agree! I moderate on another forum, and as a moderator it is hard to please everyone... there always seems to be one person that will make a big stink about certain decisions. :rolleyes: The solution is for that person to get over it or move on...

I'm mostly in the leave it mode and let this group shine each other's monkey. Should make for a very interesting forum. Alright everyone, ya and ya and ya. And Ditto, your fully right about the moderation of the section of the forum and I think that is more by plan than meets the eye.

How strange it is. I think I'm going to side with both you and Ditto. I would hate to see this fun forum get moderated to the point of banality. I have to admit that while I enjoy Galexia's comments I honestly think that if someone else made the same comment it would have been dealt with differently.

As far as the moderating of these forums is concerned, it is not done with any political bias one way or the other. The hundreds of posts made by both sides of the U.S. political coin that remain here for anyone to read are testament to that. If there was a political agenda at work, you would see only one side represented, and that is not the case. A lot of threads and posts are moderated. To cry political persecution when it's done to you is a red herring.
There has lately been much discussion among moderators on the subject of what to leave and what to remove, and guidelines have been established. Because of those guidelines many things that one or two of us may personally feel should be removed are left standing. About 10% of the questionable posts/threads are moderated. The rest aren't touched. In other words, these forums could be moderated much more heavily that they are.
As for leaving the 'galexia' post, contrast the parts of that post that were aimed at you personally to the personal elements of your response. They are quite different. Spinning out an obviously exaggerated scenario with someone drinking cheap liquor and eating cold fish sticks is humor, whether you or I appreciate that humor. Calling someone "*****" and "degenerate" in response is not humor, no matter how many smileys you put after it. If you don't see the difference in tone between the two, there's nothing I can say here to explain it to you.
Finally, attacks and name calling aimed at the moderators of these forums will no longer be tolerated in any form. All such posts will be removed, and if such activity persists from one user (or from other usernames that person has established), those users will be blocked from participating in the forums. The moderators are all volunteers, and they give their time freely to help people here, and to help maintain order. We will not allow them to be berated or belittled for doing their job.
