When using Adobe photoshop 2.0 how do I get my text so that there is a black boarder around each letter?

I don't have any version of Photoshop that old, so I can only suggest something that should work regardless of the version. Try choose a solid font and type in black. Then copy the layer and resize a bit smaller and change the font color to whatever you want. The bottom layer should be black and since it is a bit larger, it should appear as a black outline for the top text layer.
Doesn't Version 2 have Stroke?

Not too familiar with PhotoShop (I know...I gotta learn). Can't you just download a font and use that??

Was just messing around in Photoshop. Type your text. Magic wand away from the text then go> select> inverse. So it's all selected. Then go> layer> layer style> stroke. Choose your colour, pixels etc.
Not sure 2 provides those options though.

Croc, that's why I asked about stroke. I have no idea what options are on version 2.
Berks, there are outline fonts available for download. But sometimes you need to use a specific font. But that certainly is an easy alternative.
If PS 2 doesn't have stroke, you could try using a drop shadow (if it has that). Adjust the opacity to 100 and light direction until you have the desired effect. (maybe)
I can't remember that far back with Photoshop - 2.0 that is, BUT with later versions, if you choose outerglow instead of dropshadow, then play with the settings, you can get an outline effect on your text.
In later versions, you can dbl click the layer and get the layer properties window which will give you a multitude of choices, including the outerglow.
If you are using this file in another program, you may have to merge your text layer with another layer to utilize the effects. I mostly edit video in final cut pro and in avid. Both of them have their own little quirks for accepting my photoshop files.
I hope this helps.
