I've seen that flash can access microphones. Is it possible then with Flash and staying in PW's limits to run some sort of voice chat through our websites?

Sure.. flash can do that.. but remember powweb is not a true audio streaming server type, unlike shoutcast etc. How would you keep it realtime. The delay would be big, dial-up forget it, and I doubt you could keep it all under the limits even with only say 6 to 8 average users/day. Hmm.. can't hurt to try it Skunk, I suppose.

keeping it under limits by restricting users isn't an issue. Mainly so I can keep in touch with on person in particular who isn't very fast on the keys. If I can convince them to use one of the messengers instead, cool; but, if I have to, I was just curious as to if it could be done through the site. I know it wouldn't be the best.
thanks for the confirmation. It wouldn't be an offered item on my site, just something for private communication between myself and one other. -and of course I would only use it when I go to the highspeed lines... since I doubt I could find compression as good as yahoo, msn, aim, icq, etc.
