Ok, obviously many people are having problems with the new email system through OPS...and I am one of them. After trying for THREE DAYS to get this resolved by email, none of the support I received has helped me..AT ALL.

I just called tech support, which is a LONG DISTANCE NUMBER, and connected to the answering service. When I press 2 (option for surrent customers to get tech support) I get a busy signal.

Since the recorded greeting picked up the phone, I was charged for this call, while getting none, ZERO, help. I have tried 3 times, and three times I was charged for a long distance call without reaching ANYONE.

I am seriously considering moving from POWWEB. Where is the customer service in saying, although you all want the old system back unbtil OPS is bug free...OPS is here to stay, too bad!

Have you tried sending your email to support@powweb.com? I know the queue is a little backed up, but your email will be answered well w/in our advertised 24 hours.

If I may, what is the nature of your problem? Perhaps I can help shed some light on it for you. :)

In my post I DID STATE that I contacted powweb for email support, back and forth for the past three days. Do they even actually READ the emails and try to help based on what is said? Every reply I have gotten has been IRRELEVANT.

Here is my problem - same one that others have been having since this OPS creation, that none of us were told of in advance...

I am a webmaster, and I know what I am doing on the internet, and email.

Before OPS, I have created between 4-6 POP3 emails, and one alias. All of them worked, and still do work like a charm.

After OPS, I went in and created a new POP3 account...msantiago@southsoundsda.org.

I set it up in Outlook Express 6. It can send email flawlessly...

Why cant it receive email? I have sent test after test after test to this address, and it isnt getting them. I know its not a problem with how I set it up in outlook, because when I check the email on netmail for this user, there is none. All tests sent FROM this user arrive at their destination.

If you can, PLEASE go into my account, southsoundsda.org, and fix this user. If there is a problem with how I set it up, please fix it for me, and post back with what you changed so that I can do it right in the future.

Thanks a lot.

I did notice that when they converted the old POP boxes they simultaneously created aliases (in the SMTP portion of the OPS) pointing to each box.

maybe you ought to try creating an alias with the same exact username and point it to that username. Then wait anywhere from 10 minutes to 1.2 hours and try it again.

I have also discovered that if a POP username has any uppercase characters then it won't work at all insofar as receiving mail.

Thanks for the post.

I actually DID go in and create an alias pointing to that email address. I also noticed that the password for that POP3 was only 5 characters, and powweb required 6, so I went in and changed that too (would have been nice to have been warned, like every other site on the web if you enter an invalid password).

I waited about 3 hours, but nothing has changed.

Try and remove the POP accounts in questions, and then re-create them.

Let me know the outcome please.

FYI, this forum is not for our support techs. If you ask your questions here expect answers from your fellow customers. If you are looking for Powweb technical support, you need to send an email to support@powweb.com.
