I am having a hell of a time installing MT... And feeling very stupid. After browsing and re-browing the forums here and on the MT site, I am still having problems. And did I mention feeling very stupid?
I am very very very new when it comes to MySQL and I guess I really have no idea what I am doing. I had previously set up a db for php script for quotations without a problem.
I created a new db for movable type and don't know where to proceed from here... I cannot get mt-load.cgi to work- it keeps telling me that "Your DataSource directory ('./db') does not exist".
Here is what I have for the db in the config document:
ObjectDriver DBI::mysql
Database *****
DBUser *****
DBHost mysql05.powweb.com
Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong? the database is run off of mysql05.powweb.com, right? Do I need to create a folder in my ftp program for it as well?
As I said, I am feeling very dumb, and very frustrated... I have spent the past two days wrestling with both Grey Matter and MT... I decided to scrap GM because I kept getting internal server errors that had something to do with the coding of GM, and now I cannot even begin to comprehend where to go with MT. My head hurts from all of this. PLEASE HELP! Thanks in advance!
