Would you rename "fossil1" 'extinct' for me :) What did you use pauli?.

"fossil1" and "shell" are beautiful.. simply beautiful.

i used xenodream, sorry they are a bit unadventurous as this was my first play. It is a very unusual fractal prgram but i was sold by the examples i have seem on the web. Some are quite brilliant

I am sure with a few days playing i can improve on these and perhaps do some post in PS

Hope you like this set

The first is the base.jpg this is the ..well base frctal the others are variations on the lighting, not the coloring just the lighting and shadows

The beauty of xenodream is that once you render your initial fractal, say 10 mins, the lighting presets ( and there are over 100) can be aded with immediate efffect so you can make a variety of renders in minutes

Sort of a dragony thing (http://www.black-and-white-to-color.com/stuff/xlights/)

Nice job! I bought a fractals video at a Moody Blues concert where some of the profits were donated to save the rain forests. I listened to music while watching the morphing fractals.

I love fractals. I haven't created any in a few years, so I really enjoy the fact that someone still does. So, will you be selling t-shirts with your designs? :D

Very cool!
I'm incorporating fractals into my entry for the "Fire & Glass" challenge!

This would make a good tee shirt..

yuk !! (http://www.black-and-white-to-color.com/stuff/fractals/yuk.jpg)

Reminds me of my liver durung it's student days

this was actually made in c4d using the dragonythingy fractal to displace a terrain and then dropped into a hypernurb ( that's NURB not NERD :) )

If i'm not a dove or a hawk am i a dork ? No no don't all rush at once !! :o

I meant the pretty color fractals, not the fossils or the last one! :p

More fractal meanderings, ignore the avi it was just to show someone a technique

more fractals (http://www.black-and-white-to-color.com/stuff/difractal/)

Nice stuff. The vox images are really interesting because they have more depth.

yes the vox images are fun. basically they are a variety of lightwaves's particle system

most good 3 progs will give you a paerticle generator, you drop in say a cube, tell the generator how many to generate at what speed and lifetime etc and the generator well..generates

you can have the particles interact, bounce, repel, spawn others on impact, push objects etc etc

A more advanced particle is called a voxel ( volume pixel) basically you use single points as particles and generate a 3d dimensional material around them, this is the volume

These are ideal for massing together as they will merge and make good smoke, clouds fire etc

the voxels can be textured in a variety of ways and will respond to parameters such as age, distance from targets, density etc

lightwave has a particularly neat voxel particle system called hypervoxels and it's texturing tools are second to none

i used gradients and a fractal to texture them in my examples
