have image tags been denied in signatures now?

I've not touched my control panel for a while and see that my graphic isn't showing in my signature anymore... now just showing the code for it. :(

Image tags haven't been disabled, but we have disabled html in user signatures. Unfortunately there are a number of nasty exploits that can be carried out through an html signature. So rather than wait for someone to make all of our lives miserable, we disabled html.

The vBulletin [URL] tags can still be used to display clickable URLs, and [IMG] to display images (keep them small please, for everyone's sake), but straight html will no longer be allowed.

The makers of vBulletin do not recommend allowing html in signatures unless your forum is on an intranet or consists solely of trusted users. Now, I trust 99.9% of you, but the other 0.1%...I don't know...

;)

Thanks Mike.

So then is there still a way I could show my little banner? or is it text only?

You can still use [.img] tags and if you want to link, mine still links using [.url=www.xxxxxx][.img]xxxx.jpg[./img][./url]

(minus the periods of course... just did 'em to force the code to show)

Are we still allowed to use custom avatars?
Never had one before the forum upgrade, and all I can do now is selecting the option to delete the non existing one.

That is a small problem of the upgrade. Admins have been advised and I am sure this will be changed shortly.
