I run a site for the game Nascar 4. I would like some thoughts on the site design.
Thanks. :)

I think one does what one is able to do. As you snoop around other (similar themed) sites and source their code, you will pick other ideas.
But my advice is to avoid surperflous images and gimicks just to fill up your page. Everything on the page should have a use, and try to keep it under 50 kbs. A 56k modem should load your entire page in under 10 seconds or you will loose the user.
So personally, I would get rid of the junk and the marquee tricks, and work on a better over-all design. It's a Nascar site, so maybe get someone to make you a cool (but short) flash presentation of a Nascar zooming up! Have a site description paragraph next to your logo at the top for the Search Engines to parse, and your nav bar of links at the side, top or bottom and you're set!

Hey the sites fine.....
but in the true spirit of the internet.... if the site isn't constantly changing..... growing.... people get bored....
You've got a good start......
My only bit of advice...... " you asked"... animated gif's are blase..... and a little irritating......
As for flash....." which was mentioned in the last post".... It's great... I use it... I design in it.... but it's way overated....
It all depends on the site..... it's being used on.... only prob... way too many designers are assuming "EVERYONE" is on DSL, or Cable........
Try a program I started with a long time ago.... " SWISH"... http://swishzone.com you can do a lot with this little program... if ver 1.5 is still available...... try ir out.... 2.0 gets a little mor intensive.... but is good also....
You might also want to try... using some small tables for your nav system....
OverAll... you're off to a good start....
Have Fun
