nothing amazing i was just trying to get the hang of jelly like structures as seen on the maxon site and i got this :

soft and hard bodies 485 kb DivX (http://www.black-and-white-to-color.com/stuff/j1.avi)

maybe it will give someone a bit of a kick start

Pull the scene apart and you will see all the settings, i set the springs to all as i don't have the patience to RTFM also i jiggled around all the other params untill it worked bit i am sure some of the changes are not needed !!

i also added some rigid spheres for fun

Render is fast about 5 mins

soft and hard bodies scene 486 kb (http://www.black-and-white-to-color.com/stuff/jellyball.c4d)

The avi played but the c4d file requires Cinema or something, right? I guess I didn't have it installed.

It looked really 3d and animated. Nice job! :)

Love your work...and you keep on getting better with the effects. Gonna see your name next to Spielberg soon :D

Thanks BWG and yes yvette it is a cinema 4d render, though most 3d progs have soft/rigid body dyanamics c4d is quite good at them. i will post some more experiments soon

By the way remember the scene in Titanic where the ship tips up and all the people go cascading down and bouncing of the ships structure ? that was done with soft/rigid body collisions. in fact i think the majority of the SFX were done in lightwave
