I just added a user... it shows up without the nnnnn.username... ok, i can live with that... but when I send a test message it goes to my catchall account.... I can't live with that.

Is/will OPS help it make it easy to set up a POP account?

I'm tired of the recent "he said/she said" diatirbes about the system. I just want to know how to I set up a POP account so that when I apply the rules from my email program the email goes to the proper folder?

Up until the OPS switch, it all worked... now it doesn't. Don't care why, don't even care how come, don't care why it should, don't care if it's a virtural domain, don't care if it's flesh and blood... just care about the fact that it worked.

The reason a lot of us folks use hosting companies that cost $7.77 (or, whatever) is because we might just not know what the heck we're doing and would rather blow off $96 rather than a bizillion bucks.

WRT this email thing, so far I've only seen recusitory accusations and vieled threats. How about we all chill out and let the techs work out the buggies and then quickly get some good instructions (desktop procedures) worked out so that the stupid of us (me at the top of the list) can have a simple POP account work.

WRT in-house testing, let's remember to look at the trees as well as the forest.

Thanks for your time and efforts in getting this all staightened out.

If you create a new POP account, it will now automatically add the SMTP alias to it by default. Had to beat one of the developers, but he finally capitulated and made the change. ;)

FYI: POP users are added every 10 min (i.e.: 12, 12:10, 12:20,12:30, etc.).

FYI2: SMTP forwarding is added at the top of every hour still.

This means that while your POP is setup w/in 10 min, you won’t be able to send email to it for one hour.

Both will eventually be changed to real time. :)

I hope he recovers soon. Thanks for making this effort, as apparently -- right or wrong -- the new interface confused more than a few of us, myself included.

EXCELLENT information. I now KNOW what to expect. Thanks.

Ah yes, "real time". :) It will be nice. I'm relieved that there IS a way to get it all to work reliably, and that your team is on top of it internally.

Thanks to every one who helped with this email thing.

Basically I just killed my wife :)

Killed her smtp
Killed her pop
Killed her user

Killed it all.

Re-added everything... POP showed up on the 10's just like it was supposed to. at 3 minutes past the hour sent a test mail. Downloaded from the POP to the correct folder just like it was supposed to.

{Eureka he exclaimed running naked from the office}
