Hi there.

I am fairly Green with HTML and this could be a really stupid question!

My problem is with an FTP error.

I uploaded my website to POWWEB two months ago and with no problems.

Yesterday, from Dreamweaver, I attempted to upload some changes that I made and I came up with FTP error #530.

I did some trouble shooting but still can't get it to work.

www.malloryphotographics.com is my website. While troubleshooting, I read about large files causing a problem, but the changes I made was just adding a simple "under construction" page.

Can anyone tell me what my problem might stem from - where do I begin?

Hi,

I searched Google for FTP error 530 and learned that error 530 is usually associated with wrong username/password entries.

Check to see that you're using the FTP username/password, not the webuser/password used for entry to the Powweb control panel.

Username/passwords are case sensitive to. You should use ftp##.powweb.com and htdocs I imagine, Where # is your server number in OPS.

Additionaly: With Dreamweaver once you’ve created files in your local and remote sites, you can synchronize the files between the two sites. Use the Site > Synchronize command to transfer the latest versions of your files to and from your remote site.
