I sent numerous emails yesterday, seeking assistance in accessing my new web site; Sun 2/1/2004 9:10 PM

The password that I had input did not work.

And, today Mon 2/2/2004 11:59 PM I received the following message below; a non answer.

If you ever need a new encrypted password, you can go to
the Memeber OPS Page, enter you User Name and click on the
Forgot Password Tab.. We will send you another by E-mail.

If we can be of any further service to you, please let us know.

I have three websites hosted by Powweb, since 2001, I would think that I am fully aware of the basics.

Obvoiusly, the Forgot Password Tab does not work for the web site in question.

The point is I am able to access the web site account in question, through another user info belonging to another one of my web site; but unable to post/upload to web site in question.

Bad enough out of the 3 web site that I have with Powweb, now only one is working

2nd web site: Can't get in directly
3rd web site: Upload OK- but links don't work; since 10/2003

Now if I don't pay my bill my web sites would be closed immediately.

I wish that customer support is as efficient in assisting customers.

Need help and attention right away.

Please advice.

You have no gurantee that support will read this thread however I have contacted them to take a look.

Well.. if you can access it can't you change the password?. Or have you tried that already?.

The remind me password thing does work but you need to know the webuser name and email addy that was given when the package was set up.

Thanks guys! It is frustrating when the web sites doesn't work and tech support is convienced that the customer is at fault.

FYI, I have sent emails via the address that I've set up and they do work; however, when I request for my password it states that info is invalid and no email arrives.

Log into your main account in Ops, under the Personal tab you will be able to change your password and email address by clicking Edit/Update etc. You cannot change the main/master username a package was set up with, but it is visable to you here. Ok.. again in Personal tab click the other webuser names to log in as them, and update all their info if you need to. Remember all usernames passwords are cAse sEnSitiVe. Some changes may need a little time for updates to take effect.

That is the whole point, Powweb has setup 2 packages under one of my other accounts. The account in question www.350Zconnect.com appears, as a 2nd package. The account information can only be accessed through the other account.

When I select the personal tab, I am automatically taken to the primary account and not www.350Zconnect.com, which was set up a week ago.

Changing/editing the sign-in information will only affect the primary and not the new account: www.350Zconnect.com

However, it does appear that I am able to access and make changes to the FTP sign-in password for www.350Zconnect.com; but unfortunately that does not work, even setting up a second user name and password.

What I can’t comprehend is how long does it take to straighten out such a mess

Powweb only set it up as you requested it's not their fault and there's nothing they can do. It's up to you to manage the accounts. I think I know what you are trying to do. It took me a while to figure it out to.

You can create "New Person/Webuser to administer other packages" in your Personal tab. Then click their name. You'll see in top right corner yourname:theirname click "logout" to return to just yourname. Then to push/handover access to the newsubuser click Main tab and click their.Website in the list. Now click Packages tab select theirname from dropdown box. click "Change Owner". And thats it!. Now they can only see their package when they login, but you will still see them in places throughout your master account.

I reset the password file on ftp02. Whatever the last password you did reset
to should work by now.
