View Full Version : Weather on my site.
Can anyone tell me some what and how the weather can be put on my site.
Maybe give some links to look at for examples.
Thanks
Mark
weather.com, Intellicast, and Weatherunderground all have little "weather windows" you can place on your page(s). Basically it is a matter of copying/pasting some code where you want the weather information to be. Look around on those sites for what you want.
Good luck,
Kevin
Check out this site. (http://clearlakefun.org) In addition to web cams, we have hourly uploads from an Oregon Scientific weather station. At the bottom of the page, the local NOAA report is in an inline frame. At the top right of the page are links to a couple of more local forecasts.
http://ambientweather.com/ has most of the amateur weather stations for sale as well as the Virtual Weather Station software.
The Ambient Weather user support forum, http://ambientweather.com/AmbientForum/, has loads of information about the various weather stations.
On the Ambient web site you'll find lots more examples of users' web sites.

on this (http://somdcomputerguy.com/hoast/benconnelly/) web page, you can see an example of a "weather sticky", as was mentioned by Builder a few posts above. check out this (http://www.hamweather.com/) site too. they have a script that you can install on your site that pulls weather data from noaa. i have this script running on my site here (http://somdcomputerguy.com/weather/hw3.cgi).

My website at http://www.powerpageswebdesign.com has the local weather for my area. Click on the link and see that the forecast says "for Power Pages Web Design" and it links back to my site. I like it, because I can quickly see the weather and check the delays and closings for school!

My son's name is Mark and he had modified kindergarten today. It is so handy to have that link! :)
