Just messing around with cinema 4d, this can be done in any 3d program
vol light 162 kb DivX (http://www.black-and-white-to-color.com/stuff/volcube.avi)
simply make a cube, extrude it to your likeing ( i did some inners and outers) add a material with transparency and relection drop a volumtric light inside it
I gave the camera a long focal length
Not much but fun and maybe i will jazz it up a bit

Cinema is awesome, I've modeled a few weapons in that program :)

probably out of maya LW Max and c4d i would say c4d is the most user friendly, but i prefer LW for it's texturing and particles
Though i like c4d's dynamics and mayas fluids
i just put up links to some older stuff at

Paul, I love the color and lighting effects as well as the 3d effect. Nice job.

Thanks! If I ever get caught up on my clients' work and housework, maybe I will get to try these graphics programs. I never had time to figure out Bryce. For now, I will enjoy your images. :)

Don't forget Yvette that 3d progs make the best logos ( still or animated) you can build the outlines in say illustrator or other 2d vector progs and extrude them in a 3d prog
nearly all of the TV logos ( and there are a lot of them..see the news channels ) are made by 3d artists as this is their bread and butter work
