I am unable to connect to mysql05.powweb.com with one of my websites. I am however to connect to mysql02.powweb.com with another package.

It is 11:30pm here. Perhaps this is a sign I should stop working for the night and pick it up tomorrow. Maybe they are working on it. I will give them the benefit of the doubt and pray that it will be running in the morning when I get to work.

It is 8:50am here. Don't know when it came up in the last 9 hours but it seems to be working for me now.
I emailed them as soon as I realized it was down. I still haven't received a response - but it's back up again now.
What's their policy on requests to have the location of your mysql server moved. I'm going to try - but I was wondering if anyone else has had any success. It's obvious to me that mysql05 has problems and on a regular basis.
mysql05 goes down often. unfortunate.

mysql05 is down again as of my time, GMT.
Why is this server so erratic :(
Yeah down for me too at 13.25 GMT. It was working fine earlier this morning. Im getting a "#2003 - Can't connect to MySQL server on 'mysql05.powweb.com' (60)" error.
Feck sake, my site is effectively down now...
wheeeeee why do I have to be on the only server that goes down all the time :(
isn't it possible to move all the account from mysql05 to another one and throw a handgrenate in that mysql05 server or write out a contest of how to get rid of that damn thing ???:p
As of right now, my forum is down (on mysql05). I would also like to switch to a more reliable server. My discussion forum is THE MOST IMPORTANT part of my site and by the unfortunate luck of the draw it's on mysql05 while my gallery and other less important things are on mysql04.
so you still have the luxury of buying another database for 10$ on mysql04 server and move all the stuff over there. :p
I unfortunately also have a rather popular forum community running and I can't move it to another server :( :(

I see myself upgrading to mysql04 in the very near future.
*edit*
mysql05 is back up, thank you kind admin people types :)
and let's hope that we don't have to thank the admin people to many times anymore :p

Well, yeah, hopefully. Can't complain too much as it's a free database.

ah, it all makes sense. 05 is the free db right?

The first is free then $10.. no matter what server you're on.
Most likely staff are not going to see your multiple complaints in here sleepyguy. Putting it all politely in an email to support, requesting they take a good look at at mysql05 might get something done.
Not sure what happened but after the database restored, my ibf_posts.frm was empty. What gives?

I.. for one... have emailed support requesting a through check up of 05. I'm not even on 05 but I hear ya's. I suspect a couple of users are running crappy scripts that are dragging the server down.. and out. You can all do your part to tidy your scripts and keep an eye on your log files.
For the record: You do not get to choose your server #. Be it free or paid for. Only powweb chooses how to balance their load.
wheeee it's down again. and where are my logfiles. I noticed someone was screwing around on my forum and hacking users. perhaps he/she can be the cause ?????? :( :( :( :(

OMG what is up with this server? Come on, get this fixed. Its getting annoying
I have only been here a few weeks, and this is the second time this server has gone done.
I hope they find a permanent fix for this problem.

I have also contacted support that someone is trying to screw my forum what I noticed in my logfiles. But I don't think they get the message since all they said was that they were installing the OS again. as if that would solve the problem
