Very nice. The dusty atmosphere sets it off. One for Renderosity?.

Nice job. I agree with Croc about the atmosphere. One thing that is odd - the view is slanted as if I am tilting my head. I wouldn't feel that way if the clouds weren't slanted.

i get tired of the postcard view that are common to so many landscape renders and wanted a change

I can understand that!
I still love your fire and ice image. You would have had more votes if some of my friends were PowWeb customers. Erin, my intern, loved your image, too! Everything was so realistic.

thanks Yvette but really the realisism is down to a good 3d program, the glasses are simply lines drawn in profile, the you drop them into a modifer called a lathe ( nurb) that extrapolates the shape thus giving me the classes, the candle is a simple cylinder with a special noise deformer for the flame
the wasp is made of simple obects with certain ploygons extruded for the legs etc
the 3d progs do all the hard work !!!

The programs do the work, but you tell it what to do. You had a unique design concept and implemented the idea very well! :)
