Could be alien landsacpes, alien/fantasy buidings, alien creatures (synthetic/nonsynthetic) perhaps just a representaion of alienism ( out of context /feeling alienated ? ) etc let me know what you think

How does this work? We just make images in Photoshop or something and post them here? Does it have to be totally created, or can a person take various images and composit them? I'm not much of an artist.

you can make the images with whatever you like,

CrocHunter is fond of using marsupial blood on a dried out kangaroo skin.. but the he is a bit arty you know :D

post a link to your work then at the end, judgement day, i willcollate the entries to a web page and post a poll

i havnt participated in a challange and i dont know if aliens are my thing but i think if i find the spare time ill join you guys in this one.

doesn't have to be ALIENS, could be "alienated", a square peg in a round hole :D

The more obsure the better !! as long as we can see some reference to either aliens, alien landscapes, alienation, feeling alienated etc

if it is going to be obsure i would suggest a little description for clarity

Here is a link to my entry. I created this image in Paint Shop Pro, ver. 4.0, yup, 4.0, with adobe-compatible filters installed. This picture is really about 2 years old, but I thought it would fit in here..

Ok maybe not an entry ( it is a bit corny and obvious) but in case i don't get round to anything better !!

made in cinema 4d. the glow from the ship is a simple visible volumetric light with a flare

the pyramid is bump mapped and displaced by the same texture

the background is from an earlier experiment i did trying to create a galaxy

motion blur is set to scene, this could possibly have been done as a post effect filter but i like the real effect, this is done by rendering 5 frames with the ship slightly offset in each then merging them

Well that technique involves animation but this is not an animation it is a still from an animation..should it be allowed ?
