Hello! I'm currently working on a Flash based site for a DJ mixer (will be appearing at http://www.umxdj.com within the next few days), and would like any thoughts or comments you have on how the site is looking at the minute.

The url for the WIP site is http://www.gfxuk.com/umx.php (this will be kept up to date as I progress).

I have a habit of trying to push Flash as far as it will go, putting a lot of burden on the processor in my quest to reduce the file size as much as possible. Please ignore the fact there are no images or text on the site at the minute (or if it is, it's just a badly made cursor graphic), however if possible I would like to find out:

How well do you believe the site is running for you? Is the frame rate far too low in points to be believable?

Do you understand how the layout works, even at this stage? Are you having difficulties with the navigator? I would like to believe the site is at least fairly user friendly! :D

Also any other comments / requests / opinions would be really helpful.

Sorry to ask so much, this is my first major web site and I would like to think it's going to be one of the best sites I have produced. Thanks for your time!

I think you have good start and a nice idea.
First i took a look at http://www.umxdj.com and it loaded fast on my 56k. didn't have any problems finding/using the navigator. although i thought it would look better a little transparent. and the buttons maybe list them to the left and put a name to them but when you hover over them bring up the mixer and highlight what it will show (just an idea). and on some of the titles you might want to put a little space between edge of the movie and the text, so its more clear. i think the frame rate is fine.
than i looked at the wip site. again it loaded fast, the navigator seemed to open up faster, but the fps seemed to be slower. and i noticed that the navigation box had a bit of opacity to it. the red looks better to me than the black, blue and white. and the design in the back could be seen clearer.
nice work
