HEllo. From what I have seen so far... It looks like people just make neat rectangles and designs in photo shop or similiar, then somehow make them as there background for there webpage. I think. I would like to do this. Probably alot easier then using all html to do that. ANyways... Is photoshop okay to use for this? and How can I make it so that my site is 95 percent compatible with word so I can design it then just ad new text as i need it and where i need it down the future for updates and stuff. Instead of writing code. Any other suggestions would be appreciated. I have just fo und that with templates they dont match 100 percent with what i want me site to look like.
THANKS@!@!!!!!

The little rectangles are boxes coded into the page that stretch to accomodate the information placed in them. Typical for most templates.

That thread has a little tutorial I did for fixed width boxes. You can use the same method to create a 9x9 box which will stretch both ways.
not sure what else you mean for your template, do you have an example?

Okay. Heres what I did. I finished my header and I am trying to use word as my html maker. I put the header at the top of the word page and saved it as a webpage. I uploaded it to my directory as index.htm.
http://www.doom3.nerdsolo.com/header.gif is where the header is
but the problem lies here

Because for some reason it wont show the picture. Why is word not puting the picture in correctly? anyone know what I have to do?
You need to upload image001.gif to your index_files folder.
Good luck,
Kevin
