View Full Version : Rounded Corners
I need help creating rounded corners on images. I'm using this tutorial http://photoshopcafe.com/tutorials/rounded/rounded.htm but every time i DRAG/FILL my image to the selection it keeps getting CUT OFF in the wrong place. (it's like you can't even have the image properly aligned.) I'm trying to have the selection CUT and be able use the selection for other images for easy use. If there's no way.. Is there an easy way to make rounded corners? I'm still trying multiple ways that come from my head, but seems like my head isn't functioning correctly. :o Can anyone help?

I like to make little square images.
I start by making the background color green (or whatever).
Then I draw a big circle (or square with soft edges) that matches the table its gonna be in.
Then crop the pic to a small square...with only a the edge of the circle/square that you drew (should be around 90 degrees).
Safe it as a transparent gif (with the background color transparent).
And I'm done. I'm sure there are better/quicker ways...but I use this one.
See a little example HERE (http://www.livingspirit.net)
Assuming you have PS...
Here's an even longer way.....bigger is better!
Add a layer above your pic
Select the Rounded Rectangle Tool
Radius: 70px
Drag & Drop your rectangle
Select the Move Tool
Turn down the Opacity on the Layer so you can see your pic below
Using the mouse & key board arrows adjust your rectangle
Press Enter
Turn the opacity back up
Create a Layer below
Go back up to the rectangle Layer
Merge Down
Select the Magic Wand
Touch your colored rectangle
Click into bottom Layer, your pic
Edit Copy
Create a new Layer
Edit Paste
Delete original pic Layer
Crop and Save As Desired
