View Full Version : Is Powweb customer support email address valid?
I signed up with PowWeb last year 2/21/03. The terms stated that if I signed up for a year of hosting, I would receive 14 months of service. On 2/27/04, my site went down. I have tried to email Powweb (support@powweb.com) and all of my emails are returned as undeliverable.
Does anyone know if the support email address has changed and maybe as to why they did not give me the 14 months as was clearly stated in the website terms?
Thanks
Tony

Support email address is valid...and you should get an auto-reply with a ticket #. You can also contact billing@powweb.com
You can also call them.

Did you let your domain name expire?
Sure looks like it!
Domain Name: MEDIACOMPUTERSOLUTIONS.COM
Registrar: TUCOWS INC.
Whois Server: whois.opensrs.net
Referral URL: http://domainhelp.tucows.com
Name Server: NS2.POWWEB.COM
Name Server: NS3.POWWEB.COM
Status: REGISTRAR-HOLD
Updated Date: 23-feb-2004
Creation Date: 22-feb-2003
That's what it is. The name expired. I am confused here. When I signed up for a year's hosting from Powweb, they also offered to register the name for me. Why am I not listed as the registrant of my domain name? Maybe I did not read the fine print or something but I am confused about this.
If my domain name is not registered to me, then I will have to register another name and find another hosting service. I probably should have done this when I signed up last year but I was new to this and this was my first site.

Hello,
We did register this for you, but domain registrations are always registered for exactly one year. This may have thown you off considering we gave you 14 months instead of the exact 12. Aside from that, we also send a reminder to the administrative contact email address that's listed in the whois database. If you want this expidited, email billing@powweb.com to push the registration through. It will still take about 2-3 days after today before everything starts working again.
