Hey all.
In the past, at my company we've used an Oracle Database to do all our DB needs.
I am in the process of setting up a site / service for another company, and they are taking the "cheap route". I want to send them here to POWWEB for the hosting.
One thing that I've done in the past was used Oracle with Crystal Reports, to produce some reports from the DB. The customer I am working with now wants to do the same thing, produce some reports from some stuff thats inside the DB.
Since we do not have access to MySQL anymore, it "appears" to me that this is going to not be able to be done. The current "workaround" that I have for this is creating some php/asp pages that actually generate the report and allowing them to print from the web. I'd like to avoid this if at all possible.
Does anyone know any of a method that I could use here with Powweb to generate some reports? (With say, Crystal Reports) or some other program that the customer could run to get their reports on a monthly basis?
I was also thinking about exporting the DB and re-importing it on a local server and running Crystal Reports there, but I don't want to add that extra "work effort". I'm hoping that someone else has a way around this to generate some reports without having to do that, or create web pages to build the reports?
Thanks in advance
