Greetings !

I'm new on this service so if I aska question that is common knowledge kindly ignore my ignorance.

After the account was set up I selected a stats utility and clicked to enable it.

Nothing happened.

In checking the paths, no paths or folders were created upon set up. So I added the directories necessary according to the FAQ.

Then went through the stats creation process again.

Still nothing installed.

webstats/ on my domain contains nothing, cgi-bin contains nothing. Nothing was created.

So .... how do I go about having this service?

Is there a magic word or something?

Thank you in advance for any assistance to this aggravation.

Just be patient. :)

After you enable webstats, nothing will be created until your server's update time. Check it again in the morning.

I appear to still be in the same place. Logs are created
but there is no /webstats/ contents and no way to access the logs.

I was patient!

Log onto your server (FTP) and create a logs directory (folder) at the same level as your htdocs and cgi-bin directories.

The logs folders were removed on those sites which did NOT have stats enabled previously.

Once you have the logs directory, your stats should start functioning within 24-36 hours.

Thanks JJ, actually I did that and there are stats files in the log directory, but clicking the /webstats/ link in the control panel leads to an empty directory. I'll give it some more patience.
