View Full Version : I've used all my 1024Mb quota, what the ? (ftp02.powweb.com)
Been having some glitches on my site, tried to upload an update for my store, but it was failing getting quota full message in CuteFTP. Went into OPS and it says I have used 1024Mb of my 1024Mb quota. I doooooon't think so, anyone else having same probs on ftp02.powweb.com?

Hi Glenn
If you're positive that you are not using all 1000mb ... get with support.
I see your using phpnuke instead of your other setup now. Are all the other files still on the server?
If I have then some bastard has hacked my site...
Quota 1024 MB / 25600 Files
Used 1027.88 MB / 3109 Files
Server Hostname ftp02.powweb.com

Yea this looks fishy ... Should be a lot more files to max out the quota ... Do you have a bunch of videos or something?
Nup, its a commerce store that is only 15Mb on my hard drive. Goddamit

Either that or your mysql database got heavily loaded.

Well ... like I said get with support@powweb.com ... looks like somethings not right.
Thanks for the suggestion but I had checked it out through phpmyadmin and it is only 905.3KB
I've sent an email to powweb support but being the weekend I am not holding my breath on a quick response...

Not so... they SHOULD answer between 24hrs as usual...
Hopefully they will, but in the mean time I am going to download the entire site to see if I can find the culprit, although I suspect a log file somewhere has gone out of control...

I think there is a PHP script on the PHP/MySQL boards somewhere to help you detect the sizes of files on your account if I am not mistaking, try searching for it, and for the author of HalfaBee I think...
HTH.
Couldn't find the script you were talking about but I have found the file all the same, php.core has gone beserk and is 1029mb in size! Now I have to find out where it came from because I can't find it in my x-cart install...
Thanks for your help, folks.

That file is a dump of the php memory when it crashed for some reason on any of your scripts, but it is not part of any software in particular. It is a dump of some sort, I just don't know it's use.
-Samuel :)
If it is only a dump then I am not too concerned, still might scour the x-cart boards for similar problems though.
For the record my site size is now 21.54Mb much more like it
Thanks again for all help.
The presence of [filename].core indicates that there is a problem with the script. When a Unix application crashes due to a bug or for some other reason, the system tries to preserve the program's environment for future inspection by writing it to a file called 'core'. Please check your script for errors.

I always wanted to know for what was that file, thanks Michael!

My bad, the script was by B&T and is here (http://help.powweb.com/info/directory.php) for future reference.

In the future, if you want to find out file sizes and space used, check out the script for that on my Tips & Scripts page (link in my sig) - newer versions of my scripts are there. It will find the problem.
But then . . . you need to be able to upload the script. So do it now for use later :)
