Zones

Could someone please explain the zones in oscomerce. My default zone and only zone I can choose is Florida. My shop is a UK based company....should and how do i change this

Yeah, I saw this with the initial install. I don't remember how I fixed this, but on the My Store page, you first have to set your Country, and then you should be able to set Zone appropriately.

Oh, now I found it.

In the admin panel, select Locations/Taxes, Tax Zones. There will probably be one zone for Florida listed. Click on the folder icon to the left of the entry, then click Edit. Change the country and zone as required.

Then go to Tax Zones and edit the Florida entry there to be whatever you want to call your zone. Last, go to Tax Rates and edit the tax rate description and tax.

I don't have to bother with any of this because my "zone" doesn't have any sales taxes!
