Pre setup questions?

Im thinking of setting up an oszCommerce, but i have few questions.

1. Does It Process Credit Cards
I read somewhere that it just gives you the numbers, and you have to process it manually. What does that mean exactly, and how easy is that to do.

2. How Do you check out
When someone buys something where does the money go?

i guess thats pretty much it, i just want to know how simple this service is. I want to know if its going to be easy for people to order things, and will it be just as easy for me to get the funds.

osCommerce can be set up to receive payment though sevral methods;

Authorize.net
Credit Card
Cash on Delivery
iPayment
Check/Money Order
NOCHEX
PayPal
2CheckOut
PSiGate
SECPay

You just need an account with one of the above and a merchant accout

osCommerce can also simply accept the credit card info and present it to you in the admin panel (and can send part of the number by e-mail to ensure that the whole number is not in any one place.) You would use this option if you already had a "merchant account" for processing credit cards.

If you don't, then using one of the payment gateways makes sense.
