I have three different browsers on my computer. I usually use IE, but today I just happened to use Smart Explorer and realized that it does not give the Security Alert when I clicked on check out. The gold lock locks however. Has anyone experienced this and what can I do so that browsers using Smart Explorer will see the security alert sign.
Thanks for your help.

Are you talking about the SSL certificate error?? Why do you want them to see this...and why does it happen in other browsers??

I suspect the messages that are meant are the ones that say something like 'you are now entering a secure part of the site' and 'you are now leaving a secure part of the site'.

Could be because of the browser's capability (or non-capability in this case). Never used that browser...but check the options/settings...it should be around somewhere.

That would be correct IanS, "You are about to view pages over a secure connection..." I just wanted to ensure myself that the site is secure even when the "Security Alert" doesn't pop-up.

There are a few things you can do to ensure the site is secure.
The little lock on the status bar
https:// in the address bar
View properties/info of the page, and you should be able to find that it is encrypted (look for connection or security tab).
And you can always view the certificate to make sure it is valid.
I wouldn't trust a popup box.
