I have enabled FP Extension in my OPS area (currently waiting for a re-install in 5 mins)

When I publish using FP2K2 I get a message saying I am uploading features not supported by my web site because the server doesn't support FP Extensions.

None of the FP features in my site work either; form datacapture and web component included top 10 content.

I have turned on the Tools Page Options Compatability Extensions option as well.

Any ideas?

Wish I hadn't asked for a re-install, my whole site has just vanished, none of the pages are showing at all and FP Extensions are still queued for install 10 minutes later. I suppose I will have to wait for Monday morning.....guess I better go paint the shed in the meantime.

its all working now. Amazing what sanding a shed can achieve.

I've been trying to get FP Extensions "installed" for over two days. It always says that the installation is queued, and will occur within 5 minutes, but never happens. Every time I go into the OPS | Packages | HTTP page to look, it says the extensions are not installed. When I try to publish from FP, it confirms that the extensions are not installed. Tech support supposedly tried to install them today, but still nothing happened. Does anybody else have this problem?

I have now broken the back on getting scripts to work:

Here are my findings:

1) All php scripts must be located in the htocs directory
2) Permissions must be 755.
3) Get Ultredit and use it for ANY editing of the scripts.
4) If using FP2002 set the script locally to not publish. (Retains permissions)

Premature end of headers are usually casused by editing in something other than Ultraedit.

fpopen permissions errors are just that, check the permissions.

I had the same problem, with FPSE not being installed, took a admin on powweb side to finally install them for me, took 2 hours, give them a call back

Just some FYI for those looking to publish with FP2k2. Some of the new features, like the Top 10 Content as mentioned above, are an XP technology and most likely won't be able to veiwed by your visitors unless they have XP.

I found this out the hard way when I was all jazzed to use some FP2k2 chart features for a client and when he went to see the page there it was...a big message saying: "You can not view these unless you have XP".

So, be careful! Someday the masses will have XP (I hope..but I still have people surfing to my sites using Netscape 2.0! Upgrade, people! It's free!). Oh, and if you haven't upgraded to XP...do it! It's awesome.

Support says: ‘FrontPage extensions work ok on our end.’ And demos that by publishing a simple html page. However, I am trying to use the FrontPage 2k2 extensions. When I publish, FrontPage shows me a listbox with this label:

"The following pages in your website contain link bars or navigation
bars that use new formatting options. They will not display properly
because the server you are publishing to does not support these
features.
[snip list of files]
To enable link bars, publish your site to a server running
the latest version of FrontPage server extensions or Sharepoint
Team services from Microsoft."

Further info: a subweb is part of the web, but a folder to contain it never appears on the server.

How is this site to be published?
