Paypal and downloading product

I want to be able to use ftp to download a product after it has been paid for by paypal. I am not sure how to set up the products so that once a payment is made, paypal can redirect to a link at the online store which will automatically use ftp to download the product. Has anyone ever tried this and how did they do it?

I used a site once that had a similar method set up, but instead of automatically giving a link with access to the FTP, an email was just sent out with information for access once the payment went through. I can dig up the link for you if you'd like...maybe you can email the person that made it.
