Adware Help

Hopefully someone here can help!

Unfortunately, I got some adware on my PC. I guess that's what I get for trying to help someone here. :mad: Too bad I wasn't on one of my Macs at the time...

Anyways, I already had Ad-Aware and Spybot installed so I ran them both. Yet the popups continue. I also cleared my temp files and cookies.

What else can I try?

Look in the registry at the startup processes, something may have been added there.

local_machine software microsoft windows current_version run (if I remember correctly).

If that adware is a nice one, maybe it will show up on add/remove
corner in the control panel.

I would use F3 in explorer to check any NEW files
created around the time you got that problem...

But don't delete anything unless you are sure that it is safely deleted.
I would first rename, then delete after a while.

I think there are some adware removing utilities.
But BE VERY CAREFULL!
I've heard that there is a spyware/adware advertised as
adware removing utility !!!
That scum supposedly advertised on the google search page...

I've done some searching for my problem - it's the belgiumdip popups. But I still have yet to find a resolution. Ugh..
