I'm trying to remove the main text on the main page (includes/../english/index.php), and throw my own stuff in, but I'm getting an error. The error says this:
"Parse error: parse error, unexpected T_STRING in /www/r/rushinfo/htdocs/store/catalog/includes/languages/english/index.php on line 13"
I figured i had missed something, or just a typo, but i couldn't find anything. so, i uploaded the original file, and it was working again.
Note: when i was modifying the index.php page, i was using the "Edit" command included with file manager, in the Tools section.
So, i tried it again, and only added in a single letter. And once again: error.
So, i removed the letter i added, and saved the file. And still: error.
so, i re-uploaded the file, and it was working again. Ok, so i was wondering what was going on.
I go to the file manager, edit the index.php file one last time, but this time I DO NOTHING TO THE CONTENTS OF THE PAGE. I just merely click "Save"
And low-and-behold: error.
So, i'm completely stumped as of why the file manager is doing this to my files. It's almost as if it's adding data, or modifying it when it saves. But it's late now, and i'm going to attempt to change the text locally, then try and replace the file by cimply replacing it via an FTP file transfer.
i'm hoping that works, but if anyone has been in this situation, or knows why this is happening, please let me know so i may change it.
Thanks
sincerly,
Martin Busch
