Text macros

I remember way back in the day of Prodigy, there was a program that the Prodigy staff and those in certain rooms *one I was in included* could use that would allow a person to type up a message ahead of time and then when they wanted to send it, just click in the text area of the page (or where ever - it worked in anything that took text) and then click the text block they wanted to send.

I'm looking for either that old program or something now newer that will do just that. I want to be able to type up a block of text ahead of time mainly so I don't have to keep repeating myself.

A 'notepad/copy&paste' solution might work. I have about six text files in my windows qwik launch bar that i use as 'scratch pads', so to speak.

You might take a look at Memo Keys (http://www.interlogic-concept.com/memokeys.htm)

It's a freebie program that allows you to assign certain groups of text sentences, blocks to different hot keys. Then you can call up any one of the blocks with their hot key when needed.

AlphaDesk posted another similar program that I believe done even more, but I've lost that link :(
