I am a brand new Powweb user, and am trying to upload something for the first time on my account.
In my confirmation email from Powweb, they say to connect to host ftp03.powweb.com
When I do this it says:
Error: There is no host by this name
I am on a Mac, OSX using Fetch and I am in Dubai, UAE
Any ideas?

I'm sure tbonekkt will see this post; but, you may want to put a bug in his ear. He's the Mac Guru here

It still rejects me when I go through Fetch?!?!?
ftp03.powweb.com
I tried going through Dreamweaver and it found the host but said something like: Can't find folders. Error -500
Am I getting the feeling this is a no-Mac server?....
where on tutorials they don't give any mention to the Macintosh.
The downloadable interface for connecting to Powweb is PC only and no mention of what we Mac users are supposed to do.
Am I wrong?
Macs are fine. The server is OS-agnostic, but the tutorials do tend to be Windows-centric. I'm guessing you have things set up incorrectly. I don't know Mac but I DO know Dreamweaver. What exactly have you specified for the various remote server fields? (Omit username and password.)
The "no folders" could suggest that your site has not been configured properly on PowWeb's side. Can you connect to the appropriate PowWeb FTP server directly? What do you see there?

Let's get down to basics. Open up a Terminal shell (HD\Applications\Utilities\Terminal) and type:
ping -c 5 ftp03.powweb.com
Did all five pings loopback? If they did, we can narrow it down to a problem in your FTP settings. If the pings did not go through, it's possible your ISP is blocking ftp03 for some reason.
Loopbacks should look something like this:ping -c 5 ftp03.powweb.com
PING ftp03.powweb.com (66.152.97.20): 56 data bytes
64 bytes from 66.152.97.20: icmp_seq=0 ttl=49 time=93.148 ms
64 bytes from 66.152.97.20: icmp_seq=1 ttl=49 time=72.569 ms
64 bytes from 66.152.97.20: icmp_seq=2 ttl=49 time=72.049 ms
64 bytes from 66.152.97.20: icmp_seq=3 ttl=49 time=71.823 ms
64 bytes from 66.152.97.20: icmp_seq=4 ttl=49 time=71.6 ms
--- ftp03.powweb.com ping statistics ---
5 packets transmitted, 5 packets received, 0% packet loss
round-trip min/avg/max = 71.6/76.237/93.148 ms
Hi, try Transmit. Great for FTP with the Mac. Better than Fetch. My ftp server at PowWeb is the same as yours and I have been accessing it with no trouble with Transmit. Best wishes, kayes

Thanks for the suggestions everyone. I had been trying to upload stuff from my computer at work, which has a pretty extensive firewall system, either that or they had not created the folder yet.
I went to my home computer and was able to log into ftpo3 fine and upload my page, so I am happy now and don't feel "Mac Shrifted". I am very sensitive to that syndrome.
