Does my account come with the Verisign pfpro sdk installed? If not, will Powweb install it?

HELLO?
Why does this topic seem so taboo here? All the others who have asked have gotten either a worthless or no reply. Admins, you there?

I would imagine it's that nobody who reads this really knows. I started to reply, but backed out, because I don't know for sure.

However, I think it's a good guess that PowWeb doesn't have this SDK installed, as I would have heard about it before, I think. PowWeb typically doesn't accept requests for installing software on their servers.

However, if I am reading Verisign's site correctly, one of the options for the SDK is a Perl module, and you can install that yourself in your cgi-bin folder. You might even be able to use a binary executable, if they have a FreeBSD version. There isn't a lot of info on this, though, so I can't be certain.

I suggest you ask Verisign for more details on the SDK contents.

Thanks. I talked to Powweb and they said the Pearl method would work but that the PHP method causes errors on their servers. I have a rather large database site written entirely in PHP though. Perhaps I should consider trying to do the payment processing in Pearl? Can you use both?

That's Perl, not Pearl. I don't see why you couldn't use both.

Verisign's Payflow Pro's library and perl modules can be used on our servers. The problem is with PHP. When we attempt to compile php with Payflow Pro support (i.e. with --with-pfpro=shared,/usr/local/lib/) it fails. We have looked for a solution and instead have found other people with this problem who also have no solution. I am not sure how long it has been since our last attempt but I can look into it again.
