How often does this happen? My phone is phoning off the hook each time this has happend and i am new to the host. Just very frustrating and would like to know how stable this is and isnt. Possible to move to a more stable one or they all the same? Or is this just my luck that the past 2 weeks we descided to push our site live www05 has gone down. Not trying to bash or offend anyone so dont take it the wrong way please.

Probably every user here thinks the server they are on is the worst one of the bunch...you ALWAYS notice when your own server goes down, but how often do you pay attention if another one does? Anyway, www05 hasn't been the greatest one in my opinion (but better than it used to be!) but I can at least say that I'm impressed with powweb's improved attempts with customer service. In the old days, a server going down for an hour or two would never have even been mentioned in the Outtages forum, but they are posting the information there now, and even if the uptime service could be improved, I just wanted to say to powweb that at least communicating with your clients is a HUGE improvement and one I really appreciate.
May 17: didn't see anything in outtages about this yet but www05 is down again....about 15 minutes and counting....

www05 down again

can I have my site transfered to the server that this board is on?
lol Mugombie, I'm with you! Just which server IS powweb on anyway? Whenever I come to their forums or site it's always up, but my site and forums on www05 go down regularly (btw I also posted about it being down right now in a different thread).
Can I come here too? ;)

FYI - the forums are load balanced, meaning that they're not hosted on one particular server. If one of the load-balancing servers goes down, the others simply compensate for it. Nice, isn't it?
What's even nicer is that this is what PowWeb admins are planning to do with the customer servers as well. No ETA, but it's in the planning stages. :)
See THAT i would pay for !!! Hope this is sooner rather then later :p
excellent idea! thanks for the update.
