See the announcement HERE (http://forum.powweb.com/showthread.php?t=36929). Should bring in a few more customers looking for a WYSIWYG editor.

However, the 2-3 designs I went through. The text images (title, subtitle) were very rough and some of the images didn't align correctly. Seemed like everything was 'out of wack'.

I think it is more in a pre-beta :D

will it only use sitebuilder created files? or will it be possible to modify existing pages?

I know... shut up and look at it. I just figured I would ask.

I think it is more in a pre-beta :DIs that Alpha?

I've had a go at creating a shop via the shop wizard. I think it is exactly what I'm looking for. I'd had a play with mySql and OScommerce but didn't want to spend the time learning the details, the shop wizard looks ideal for what I want. Hopefully we'll be able to edit the pages directly once published using our favourite editor (FP or DW or Notepad etc) and re-publish without too many issues. I hope it isn't a long time in being out as Beta and final product or I'll end up learning OScommerce and the time involved won't have been profitable if an easy alternative is available. Any time scales available on development of the project?

Looks good to me too, but I would like to see it modified in one way: I would like to be able to use it for GIVE AWAY items, too. As it is, it will not allow a selling price of zero dollars (or zero anything else!) and generates an error.

It would be nice to be able to use the cart and address/etc gathering for processing my free CD give-away requests.

I notice that it requires that the browser send the referrer to get off the main page. I had to turn off the "privacy" feature in Norton Internet Security to get that to work. I don't understand why the site cares.

Looks pretty easy to use. I'm sure a lot of people new to web sites will like it. The big question I have is - if you decide you outgrow it, how hard is it to convert to a standard site and not lose all the info?

the sitebuilder will have built in publishing feature to allow you to publish to your powweb site . you will also be able to request a zip file of all your html page you build with this software bundle .
i think the image editor is cool . when we release it you will be able to upload images and edit them with the tools provided and also publish them to your powweb site.
any other notes / interests / dislikes helps .. as we finish up integration .
thanks

I've found this feature very useful to provide some of my customers, so they can make changes directly. I need to place another account, but I've been going elsewhere for this feature while waiting on this at POWWEB.

How soon will Sitebuilder be released and available at POWWEB?

Thanks - bill
