View Full Version : general.js' purpose??
Any idea what general.js' purpose is?? It is located in catalog/includes.
it's JavaScript for osCommerce.
osCommerce uses JavaScript on some pages. don't delet it unless you know what you are doing, othewise u'll get lots of errors
Yes, I understand that it's for osCommerce, and have no plans to delete it. Anytime there is something java, it peaks my curosity on its purpose. Call it wanting to fully understand the catalog program, and all of its functions.
Now I wonder if it is server-sided or client-sided.
I'm suspecting that it is to help mask email addresses from roving spam-related harvest robots. Its purely speculation (and not founded on anything) at this point.
Even the name is intriguing and far too genralized....
I mean, seriously, take a look at it.
>>>>> general.js <<<<<<
....hmmmmmm It definitely makes me wonder.
it's JavaScript and not Java.
it's client side. it's for validating stuff, formating and focusing
I stand corrected. Its JavaScript.
Thank you for the additional details.
