View source stopped working

Recently, my view source button (both on drop-down and right-click) stopped working. I searched Annoyances.org (view source site:annoyances.org on Google) and got a result, but on the forum page, I can't find the post.

Any one have a clue?

This happened to me a few weeks back, this was in internet explorer, btw, but I had 'do not save encrypted pages to disk' checked in internet options, 'advanced' tab, I believe. So I couldn't view source of any pages gotten thru https.

Also, if your cache is full, it will stop view source from working as well.

another cause could be if you create a shortcut to notepad on your desktop. this happened to me and nothing would fix it untill i removed the shortcut
