This is the critique section, anybody can praise; but, to improove, criticism is needed right? -having said that, and not being mean...
Your top logo is 53k which takes a while to load.
Usually dark backgrounds are discouraged but I like how you were able to incorperate it with the logo.
Instead of a visitor count, I may go with perhaps copyright information at the bottom. If the visitor count info is for your use, check into using awstats or webalizer - available either on your own install or installedby powweb.
you may want to consider using a contact form with drop down options for choosing who to write to so that the e-mail addresses aren't in the open for spam harvesters to gather. http://semistixstudio.net/scripts/email-url.html is a good script to use.

Agreed.

I usually try to avoid dark backgrounds, but the previous layout on this site was a light grey background, with a white table over top of it containing the content. I was trying to go for the opposite, while keeping the content on a light background.

My client requested a counter that is displayed right on the website. I have also had Webalizer enabled since the beginning of this site. On the main page, you can see that the copyright is on the left, below the menu, on every other page, it is in that white space, where the counter is on the main page.

I understand the concept that you're talking about, I've even seen them on other sites, but I don't think that the URL you gave me is what does it, unless I misunderstood. Although I do agree I should rework the contact section to avoide spam bots.
Thanks to everybody for their comments/suggestions. More would be appreciated also :)

DOH! yes, I did send the wrong link...
http://semistixstudio.com/scripts/contact-cgi.html
there ya go. Helps if I check my own links.
http://skunkboy.net/plea/contact.htm is an example of that script at work. You wouldn't want to use an actual form as it would still have the e-mail addresses in the code. When I get it back up, http://skunkboy.net/contact.htm is an example with multiple choices. There's also a copy of that script at http://www.acp-products.com/contact.html with multiple people listed.

Looks good, i did look at it with mozilla and found a few strange things that you may want to look into. the content expand slightly larger than the header and footer, and when you hover over the links the cursor tuns to the type highlight. don't know how you would fix that. as for IE it all looked good. lots of good info though at times i feel a little overloaded, perhaps some space to break up everything. another thing is the type with the shadow, difficult to read and doesn't seem to fit the design at all. maybe try a font like tri-city outlaws in your header. over all it looks great and i see in your poll that nobody wants to go back to the old layout.
