View Full Version : Space Used??
First off, I must toss in great appreciation for how our web site has been working out on Powweb! :D
I'm trying to determine how much space my account has utilized. I've looked in OPS, and can't seem to find account info that reflect this. Any ideas?? I'd really hate to use up bandwidth in copying everything back to my drive just to see how much I'm using.

Just go to 'hosting packages' then 'website', then 'FTP'. Its in alittle box called 'FTP info:'.
Good Luck
Try looking in "Hosting Package" > "Web Site" > "FTP" :D
Thank you all! I knew it had to be in OPS some place, but just couldn't find it. Thanks again.
If you want to know about a specific directory or want to find larger files, I have a script for that on my Tips & Scripts page (link in my sig).
Particularly handy if you have multiple people doing ftp to specific directories.
I checked my account standing, and it shows over 400 MB used. I had a hard time beliving this, so I copied everything to my hard drive VIA FTP, and checked folder properties and it came up to 90 MB. This is including my htdocs, log files & cgi-bin. (scratching my head)
So, I theorize that it must be email building up on the server. Is there a way to check and see is certain accounts have email building up on the server, without diving into their account using webmail? I have no interest in reading their mail, but need to find out if certain accounts have build up happening.
It would just be the right thing to do.

Email is not counted in the 1GB of space, but MySQL is however. Also, your logs count as well.
The reason why I was checking was to prepare the installation of a PHP script that requires a MySQL database. I do not have another MySQL account that I am aware of for this account. Now I am really scratching my head about the mysterious +310MB of mystery space used that I cannot account for. Hmm.....
I've seen times before when the quota in OPs has not been accurate. You might want to (if you haven't already) submit a support ticket about this and have them look into it.
Thanks (jj)! :D I've started a ticket.
