Hi

SSL this is Secure socket layer???

which means process credit cards....

Lets break it down so I completely understand this...

SSL is when a user makes and order it places the little LOCK in the bottom right correct?

So if I buy a check program and throw a form in this SSL folder/ directory when they run this form it places the lock at bottom.

Thus I am able to take checks online???

TRUE????

Also if this is all true do I need to know anything special before I jump. I know how to configure CGI and throw up CGI programs.

Also anyone have any fancy cool looking check forms??? or where I can get them???

SSL (Secure Socket Layer) is for enrcypting sensitive information over the web, such as credit card numbers. In order to process credit cards or "e-checks", you'll need a merchant account. PowWeb doesn't supply this, so you'll need to seek out one on your own.

Hope this helps!

From what I am reading on the net is this.

1. You buy a program for 15 bucks.
2. You place a form up (which places the lock in bottom right)
which is SSL.
3. The user fills the check out. (online)
4. The information is emailed to you
5. Open your program you bought for 15.00 bucks
6. type the email info in. ( the check info transit number etc.)
7. Buy check paper from any store
8. Print check with this program

Take to bank and cash.

Question If I place a FORM in the SSL folder does it place the lock in the bottom of screen? or do I need to do something fancy?

In my eyes people would rather write a check then give a visa number.

Yes, SSL would place the "lock" in the status bar.
