well i wasn't sure if this should go here or in computer help as it's not really powweb related but not building a pc related either....

i used to know how to fix this but i'll be darned if i haven't been able to find it anywhere... anywho.. i use the quick launch toolbar in xp pro.. and i always hide most of them but the three i use most (opera, trillian, and show desktop)... however when i restart it changes to IE, show destop, and trillian.... how can i set this so it stays...

also, I CAN'T GET THE STUPID LANGUAGE TOOLBAR TO GO AWAY... ahh i'm about to scream.. i can close it but it always comes up when i open word or when i restart... it's driving me batty....

run msconfig. Under startup programs you should be able to get rid of the language toolbar (I hate it too). There may be a 'normal' way to get rid of it, but msconfig works.

Sorry, not sure about the other issue.

it's not listed in msconfig... the only things that run on startup are my trillian and my active sync for my pda.

If you right click the Start bar, you should be able to go into your options and add/delete whatever you want. I don't run XP though, so I can't give you more detailed descriptions.
