IP address for mysql04

Trying to setup an mysql database for ikonboard 3.2a forums and it will not accept the server URL, it wants the IP address.

I did the support email more then 24 hours ago, but have not received any assistance from the powweb tech dudes. Yes I do know that mysql04.powweb.com resolves to 66.152.97.69, but it does not like that either!

Anyone know the correct IP address for mysql04?

All mysql databases reside on shared servers, so one of the 'knowledgable' admins will probably have to answer this. Yes I'm being sarcastic, in 3 years they have yet to answer even one question correct for me!

Their online help is suppose to be answered in 24 hours or less. Right now we're only a few minutes shy of 25 hours! :mad:

No the mysql servers are not shared in that sense. Each server has its own IP address; they're not load balanced (yet).

You could try chat.powweb.com for realtime help.

You probably have some other problem, not just the IP addr of mysl04

many users have installed that package without needing the IP address. I'll second halfabee that something else must be wrong.
