View Full Version : Comments welcomed
Hi there,
If anybody would like to view and comment on my site, www.butteredcat.com , I'd welcome any comments on how to improve it. At the moment only the sections indicated on the homepage are connected. (1933, Poetry, Humour, Istanbul, Los Angeles and Desert Recce). The rest will get there, eventually...

Yep, short looked at. Good thinking idea the buttons on the top.
For now only I can say is: wath your resolution!!
The buttons on top don't arange good when the screen is getting smaller. This you can always adjust in a Frontpage area.
Also the text has to fit on a smaller page.
This is my meaning. I'm short and brief but will look in the future your web and help you to give you some comments.

I liked the layout and the colors.
The horizontal scroll bar shows up, just barely, throws off the
whole screen (1024x768).
You might want to change the table settings to work in percentages instead of constants, though.
Thanks for the comments. I'm not sure why the horizontal scroll bar shows up, I had hoped the layout was optimised for 1024 x 768 . I'm not sure how to work in percentages of screen width, I'll have to delve into my HTML boook and see if I can figure it out. I'm very much self-taught so perfection is a long way off....

The scroll bar links are a bit hard to click on as you have to click an area around the text not on it.
Any lower res than 1024x768 and things are horridly complicated to navigate.
Other than that... it's a decent;y designed site.

I love the site design and the colors. The buttons are very hard to click on so you need to work on that. And, like the others who posted, the screen width isn't working out well but you keep going... its a great site!
