View Full Version : MAMBO sites!...
Hey Guys,
I've done a few sites recently using Mambo (CMS) to organise them. All templates are original - let me know what you think of the designs and navigational functionality of them if you've got a moment - you can drop me a line at emailme@qasim.ca .
Thanks! :)

Qasim, very interesting.
The website at http://www.indianelectronica.com has a black background and blue text which makes it difficult to read. The image is really neat and eye-catching. The animated arrow cannot be clicked to enter the website, but visitors may expect it to do so. There is text "please take off your shoes and come in" to be clicked to enter the website. So the index page is really an intro page.
The text "best viewed at 1024x768 with ie" appears on the index page. I was viewing in that screen resolution and browser, but the contents appear to the left instead of centered. The text is aligned to the right instead of the left which is strange for English since we read from left to right. The fonts appear small and would look better in a lighter color.
When clicking to enter the website, there is Javascript error on your page. There is no copyright info at the bottom of the page. The layout design is nice, the site is easy to navigate and the information is interesting. I love a unique website with original contents!

The website at http://www.silentnightkenya.com has a pleasant color scheme, is easy to read and navigate and has wonderful images. I love home improvements and pictures of home interiors and exteriors. I did get an error:
Warning: getimagesize(/www/s/silentnight/htdocs/content/images/gallery/1-057.jpg): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /www/s/silentnight/htdocs/content/components/com_rsgallery/rsgallery.php on line 365
The website appears centered but does not fill the screen at a higher screen resolution. The home page doesn't even fill the screen vertically, let alone horizontally. This usually happens for people using those darn editors instead of hand coding. ;)
Very nice site, though. I will go back to enjoy the pictures. Currently, I am redecorating my bathroom, but it makes me look at other rooms in my home. :)

The website http://www.qasim.ca is a personal website for a web designer/programmer. It is more personal and less business-like. The color scheme is different and it does not compete with images, but rather it enhances them. The web design layout is nice and consistent.
There is no copyright info at the bottom of each web page. The header simply has QV, the initials of the web designer. A very simple, clean design. The Biography page is probably the most noticeable page for unbalanced contents. The text is long on the right while the left side of the screen is left blank towards the bottom of the page.
Another interesting, original website. The unique graphics that blend into the background adds to the originality of the website. Very nice.
