Setting up osCommerce database in MySQL, can anyone help me please?

I am trying to set up my MySQL database for osCommerce, but i'm not really sure what I'm doing anyone have any ideas where to start?

OSC should install the database by itself. You should not have to monkey with that at all.

do I have to wait until the DNS transfer has propogated before I can start doing anything with OSC?

I don't know. You can try and see.

Also, to clarify your first question. Did you mean 'activate' or 'set up'? OSCommerce will set up the database, but AFAIK, you still have to activate an database under the billing tab in OPS.
