Howdy all good and helpful people!

Last night I reinstalled a clean version of osCommerce cuz I completely screwed up the last one.

Anyways after I did my install and changed all my permissions to what they were supposed to be.

Then I followed the directions and loaded thet sts files into the /catalog/includes dir like the instructions said. I put in the additional code lines in the /catalog/includes/configure.php script

And I get:

Warning: mysql_connect(): Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/tmp/mysql.sock' (2) in /www/o/organicplanetct/htdocs/oscommerce/catalog/includes/functions/database.php on line 19
Unable to connect to database server!

any suggestions?

If I remove the additional coding lines (back to the original) in the configure.php file, I get a different error:

Warning: main(STS_START_CAPTURE): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /www/o/organicplanetct/htdocs/oscommerce/catalog/includes/application_top.php on line 511

Fatal error: main(): Failed opening required 'STS_START_CAPTURE' (include_path='.:/usr/local/lib/php') in /www/o/organicplanetct/htdocs/oscommerce/catalog/includes/application_top.php on line 511

Anyone have any suggestions? I'm not sure if it's a permissions thing or what.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks Y'all,
GI Jane

Make sure you put your mysql server in
mysql0?.powweb.com

You can find this is ops Packages->Mysql
( Assuming you have created a DB)
If not Packages->Billing/Plan right down the bottom
