Can someone please help. I am new to mysql. I do have it with my package. It asked me to name it and I named it Racingfoolsforum. Its this correct or ok?
Also I want to add a forum to my site. I downloaded invision board & unzipped the file. I read the instructions on how to install but I am new to this and don't understand the instructions. I am using frontpage if this makes a difference. Can someone help please?
Thank you in Advance!

You can name your database anything you like.
You need to tell us exactly where you are getting stuck during installation or we cannot help you.
You'll need to upload all of those files to a folder in your htdocs directory. Like htdocs\forums\[UPLOAD HERE]. I'm not sure what Frontpage is capable of doing in terms of uploading a whole folder, but that's what you want to do.
I unzipped the forum files I downloaded. The instructions say to create a folder named forum. (I am using frontpage) then it says drag & drop the files I downloaded into the forum file. There are lots of files I downloaded and I am not sure which ones to drag & drop. I have tried to drag & drop all of them(the entire folder I downloaded). Also not sure which file to make a hyperlink to even get to the forum. I am really really new at this. Thank you for the help.

ok, I uploaded the files. I created a hyperlink on my website to the forum. When I created the hyperlink I linked to the forum file "index.php". I did this live using frontpage.
Once I did this, I got on the internet and clicked the link on my website and got this message.
Warning: mysql_connect(): Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/tmp/mysql.sock' (2) in /www/d/dawnjordan/htdocs/forums/upload/ips_kernel/class_db_mysql.php on line 115
There appears to be an error with the database.
You can try to refresh the page by clicking here.
